Why My Laptop Won' t Turn on

Many things can cause our laptop to go black or die. By sharing these tips, it doesn't mean that the writer has absolute capability to restore the laptop state. By sharing these tips and tricks it means that the writer wants to share experience to the others how to handle common fault on laptop. Here are some tricks to check when having such problems:

1. Laptop charger, is it working normally.


2. Charger port, can it be connected normally.


3. Your battery has enough juice.

1. Memory module needs checking. (note laptop fan spinning)


2. Bios chip working normally or not.


3. Your display hardware such as your LCD display may be working normally.


Solutions:


1. If your laptop is showing a light from the power indicator then you can try resetting your bios first. Remove your memory module for a while and try to turn on your laptop. If there is a beep from the speaker or a light indicator flashing from the Caps Lock or other indicator, try to count them. How many short and long flashes and how many beeps from the laptop speaker. Refer to the user manual for that type of indicator flashes or beeps. If it has two long beeps, you can be sure that your laptop only has memory module problems, just replace it.


2. If your laptop doesn't seem to have a light on then it can be sure that you need technical assistance. Why you need technical support, here are the reasons:

- It can be caused by short caps, so many caps on your laptop.

- It can be caused by dead fat regulator.

- It can be regulator chip malfunction.

- It can be IO chip/or starter chip malfunctions.
